Samsung Washer Won't Fill — Causes and Fixes

A washer that hums or waits without filling is usually starved of water at the tap, hose or inlet filter — check those before assuming a valve has failed.

Safety first. Unplug the washer before opening any panel or pump filter cover, and turn the taps off before disconnecting a hose. Informational only — not professional repair advice.

1. Taps and hoses

Confirm both taps are fully open, both hoses are unkinked, and hot goes to hot and cold to cold. A swapped hose pair shows up as the 4C2 temperature code.

2. Mesh filters

Turn the water off, disconnect each hose at the washer end and rinse the mesh filter inside the inlet. Grit here causes slow filling that gets worse over months.

3. Restart and watch

Restart the cycle. If it still will not fill after taps, hoses and filters check out, the inlet valve is the likely fault — book service.
